I would hate for PS5 disc-version owners who claimed the PS plus game and enjoyed what they played and wanted to get the full PS5 version to be arbitrarily locked out even when owning the disc. I have logged a support ticket to Playstation, hopefully this is just a bug. I have the PS4 disc version fully installed, tried to “hide” the PS plus listing from my library to see if that would help, but am still unable to claim the free PS5 upgrade. When I navigate to the product page for the game, then go to the upgrade for PS4 owners listing, it advises to insert the disc to claim the PS5 upgrade, but then only displays a “Learn more” option, and says the product is not available. Now with the disc inserted in the PS5, I do not have an option to claim the free PS5 upgrade. I never downloaded or installed the PS plus version. Latest release: July 2nd 2020 PROJECT ATMAWEAPON is a web-installer for Final Fantasy VI mods that is currently in open beta. I own the disc version of FF7, but claimed the PS Plus version thinking “hey, would be nice to have a digital copy just in case”.
